A slave is the lowest status of a human being, Jesus lived as a slave on earth, as the standard of the highest human living. In Exo 23:4 even our enemy's animal has an issue, you need to send it back, it is a spirit of a slave.
For a slave most important is to have a ear to listen to the master. Jesus as a slave of God opens His ears that He might hear as a learned one an listen to God's word. We need to use the morning time to listen to the Lord.
Heb 5:8 He learned obedience from the things he suffered.
Also the leaders in the churches must be clear about the church need ruling but not controlling. To control others means to make decisions for them and to tell them what to do or not to do. We must hate this kind of control. No one should exercise control, because we all are under the one Lord....

lesson 3 position of the elder
In lesson 3 we learned the position of the elders which is the role
of the elders - God's administrators
In OT, there are constant word (law), instant word
(from priest or prophet) and agents (elders, judges, priests and kings), Priest brings in
the speaking, Law is the constant speaking. Elders receive the Word from law for constant instructions, and when situation
comes, priest receives the instant speaking. Elders carry out God's speaking,
if priest gets weak, Lord's raise prophet to bring in God’s speaking. Elders,
judges, and kings executes God's speaking from the priests and prophets.
In NT, apostles
teaching is the constitution (law), elders are both priest and administrator.
We need to build up a habit to read the Word. We need to check how much time we
spend to read the Word, if we do not redeem the time to read the Word, how can
we ask the saints to read the Word.
If the Word does not say directly concerning a particular situation, then we need the Lord's instant speaking. So need to spend the time to contact the Lord to receive the instant speaking from the Holy Spirit.

一本奇妙的书
圣经是一本奇妙的书，它是书中之书，历经一千六百年才完成，开始于神最大的申言者摩西，结束于使徒约翰。它在结束之后三百年（主后三百九十七年），在北非迦太基的大公会议中被认定。不久以后，圣经却被天主教锁禁；从第六世纪一直到十五世纪，几乎有一千年之久，圣经被锁禁了，历史称这段为黑暗时期。人类社会之所以变为黑暗，是因那包含一切神圣之光的圣经，从人类中被锁禁了。
接下去，在改教时，神用路德马丁解开圣经的锁禁。同时印刷术也发明了，使圣经得以印刷出版。虽然圣经解禁了，但并不那么解开。可是，我们感谢主，在已过的五个世纪以来，祂藉着好些伟大的教师将祂的话一再解开。我们是站在他们的肩头上，我们感激他们。我们何等感谢主，今天这圣经向我们是这样解开，使我们对这活的话能有丰富的生命研读！
神的呼出
圣经是甚么？我们知道，“圣经”这辞的意思是“那书。”但这书是甚么？圣经本身说，“圣经都是神的呼出。”（提后三16。）圣经乃是神的呼出。它不单是神的话，或神的思想，更是神的呼出。我们所呼出的乃是我们的气息，这气息发自我们的所是。因此圣经是神的呼出，乃是从神的所是所呼出的。圣经包含了神的元素。凡神之所是，都包含在这本神圣的书里。神是光、生命、爱、能力、智慧、以及许多别的项目，这一切神所是的项目，都已被呼出而成了圣经。每当我们带着敞开的心，敞开的灵来到这书跟前，就能立刻摸着神圣的事物：不仅仅是思想、观念、知识、字句，乃是深过这一切。我们摸着神的自己。
灵与生命
主耶稣曾说，祂所说的话就是灵，就是生命。（约六63。）我们能想像到，这本是神的话的圣经就是灵么？它不仅是白纸上的黑字；它是一些更高、更深、更丰富且更丰满的东西－那就是灵和生命。圣经又告诉我们，那灵就是神自己，（约四24，）而生命也就是基督。（约十四6。）我不是说圣经就是神自己，乃是说根据主耶稣所说，圣经里的话就是灵，而灵就是神自己，就是对我们是生命的主。当我们来接触这话，我们的地位若是对的，心与灵也是敞开的，我们必定接触到神自己，并且得着生命。
当我们来到神圣的话语跟前，我们整个人几乎都要用上。我们必须用一颗寻求神的心，用清明的心思，并用敞开的灵。我们若将我们的灵向着神并神的话敞开，就能摸着那在书页背后的神自己。这不仅仅是用眼睛阅读，用心思领会，或用心寻求；也是在灵里接触神。我们若这样运用全人，就不单单是领受启示，乃是让祂话语所启示并传输的一些神圣元素，输入我们的灵里。因此以弗所六章十七节说，“藉着各样的祷告和祈求，接受神的话。”我们不该单单诵读、研究，也要“藉着各样的祷告”接受圣经的话。我们必须祷告着研读圣经；就是说，我们必须一面读这神圣的话，一面藉祷告操练我们的灵来与主接触。
圣经中主要的启示
在圣经中，主要是启示生命。生命是全部圣经的中心。但甚么是生命？或者说，谁是生命？答案乃在主耶稣的话里。祂说，“我就是生命，”又说，“我来了，是要叫人得生命。”圣经就是启示基督作生命。每逢我们来到圣经跟前，我们必须认识，我们乃是来接触作我们生命的基督。
整本圣经是一本生命的书，这生命就是基督耶稣自己这神圣而活的人位，祂乃是我们的分。当我们来读圣经，我们必须来接触祂，我们不该重复犹太人可怜的历史，他们查考圣经，因他们以为其中有永远的生命，然而他们却不肯到主耶稣那里。（约五39～40。）我们切不可只接触圣经而不接触主。每当我们打开圣经，我们必须说，“主耶稣！你必须在这里。这不仅是一本书，这是你的启示。我不愿读这书却没有接触你，我不愿从这书上听到一些话却没有听到你。我也不愿读这书而没有看见你。我喜欢见到你的面，我喜欢在这书页上见到你的所是。哦，主耶稣，照亮你的话，膏抹每一行，好叫我摸着你。”我们需要这样的灵，来接触这活的话。
人在受造之后，被摆在伊甸园里两棵树跟前，一棵是生命树，另一棵是知识树。人若吃生命树，就要得着生命树所指明那神圣的生命。但人受试诱接受了知识树，（那树指明神以外的另一个源头，就是撒但，）结果乃是死亡。我们接触圣经，原则是一样的。我们可以藉着用灵接触圣经，接受它作一本生命的书；藉着祷告主，我们可以藉着祂的话，接受祂作生命。或者我们也可以藉着单单用头脑接触圣经，寻求字句里的知识，使圣经成为一本知识的书，结果带进死亡，而不是生命。林后三章六节警告我们说，“那字句（指字句的圣经）杀死人，那灵却叫人活。”我们不该使圣经仅仅成为一本字句的书而杀死自己。我们必须藉接触主灵来接受圣经，使它对我们成为灵和生命。
圣经其他的功用
除此以外，我们还有一些经节，说明圣经有好些别的功用。圣经使我们有得救的智慧。（提后三15。）它有种子繁殖的功用。藉着圣经的话，我们得蒙重生。（彼前一23。）重生之后，圣经的话对我们是奶和干粮，使我们得餧养而在主里长大。（彼前二2，太四4。）所以我们必须吃主的话，（耶十五16，）就是藉着在这话上运用我们的灵而接受这话。
还有，圣经也给我们最好的教训，使属神的人得以完备。（罗十五4，提后三16～17。）我们若属乎主并且渴望全备，就必能藉祂神圣的话得以全备。
旧约
圣经是由新旧两约构成的。旧约主要是豫言基督，用明言、影儿、豫表、以及许多象征，豫言那要来的基督。
主耶稣在路加二十四章两次告诉我们，旧约是写到祂的。（路二四27，44。）旧约可分为三大段：摩西的书（指律法），申言者和诗篇。主说，在旧约的每一段里都有论到祂的话。在约翰五章三十九节主也说，旧约是为祂作见证的。在希伯来十章七节祂说，“我的事经卷上（指旧约）已经记载了。”因此，旧约主要是一本豫言基督作神百姓的一切的记录。
